Last Friday we attended the documentary fashion film festival Moritz Feed Dog and we watched The Next Black (2014), an interesting film presented by AEG focused on the future of clothing. So, have you ever heard of digital couture experiences and of bringing living and biological materials into fashion and sportswear? The film not only explains us this concepts, but also talks about merging technology and fashion, 3-D printed fashion, interactive and evolving garments, smart clothes, wearable tech, sustainable practices, a gas dry dye concept... American fashion designer Michael Kors predicts fashion's future: “I love fashion because it’s plugged into the zeitgeist, so it’s always changing. Thirty years ago, I could never have predicted I’d be where I am today, so I know I don’t know what’s going to happen in the next five years or the next 20 years. I have my predictions—I’m sure technology will continue to have an impact on fashion, particularly the way people shop. I think quality will be increasingly important—we’re moving away from a time of fast fashion.
